When did you look? https://zulip.readthedocs.io/en/latest/production/mobile-push-notifications.html https://zulip.readthedocs.io/en/latest/production/mobile-pus... has been available for over a year, so self-hosted has the same notifications experience as Zulip Cloud.
- Nux 8y agoIt relies on Zulip's central notification service, so not entirely self-hosted.
- zingmars 8y agoAt the bottom of that link[1] you can find instructions on how to send notifications directly from your server, but it involves recompiling the apps (which is hardly Zulip's fault). - Nux 8y agoYes, this was covered under our evaluation, I appreciate it's not your fault. For what it's worth Zulip was at the top of our list when we evaluated hipchat replacements. Happy to look at it again if you ever will have direct notifications.
- ahofmann 8y agoWhat zingmars wanted to say is that it's not possible to have "self hosted" notifications without recompiling the Android and ios Apps.
