Im building a small online store focused on selling products from other small(er, ish) stores/manufacturers. Havent written a line of code yet. Been meeting and working with potential partner stores/manufacturers and helping them with their sales/marketing. This allows me to learn about their pains and needs/wants. It also helps them see how working with me would be a benefit. Been doing it for months now, and am projecting that first line of code will be written in Q1 2019. To give you the most recent example, I collaborated with a small store owner and helped him increase his conversion rates. This put hin on track to hitting a very important milestone of selling $1000 worth of product each month. Doesnt sound like a lot, but his margins are insanely good. This is not scalable at all, and costs me a good amount of money to do. But the insights and connections are more than worth it.
