I'm mostly using a RSS reader, tagging articles as "read later" and/or starring the ones i want to save. For quite some time i used Feedly, it's a great tool, but i was missing some features so i've built Aktu (https://aktu.io https://aktu.io): I can follow twitter users and Facebook pages as RSS feeds, and soon Quora topics. Everything is automatically categorized, with names of people, companies, etc... extracted, same story articles are grouped together as in Google News even for the items in my own feeds. And i'm adding a pdf export feature available in the next few weeks.
