Truly out of interest (i.e. not setting up an argument) - I'd be interested if you could elaborate what you consider to be "radically" different.
- watwut 8y agoQuickly on top of head, ignoring technological progress, philosophical progress and history of 20-century. 1.) None of us has to become soldier and actually kill people to have the right to vote and citizenship. 2.) My friends and students did not instituted tyrannical rule with help of other state which would kill significant amount of citizens. 3.) There is small physical risk in my day to day life. Overwhelming majority of people can read and we have no slaves. My risk to become slave is essentially zero.
