- dragonwriter 8y agoAlmost all ranked methods use the same kind of ranked ballots with differences in tabulation, differing occasionally in whether ties or truncated ballots are allowed. Range/Score (and STAR, which is a variation) use numeric score rankings on a preset range, and some methods use a limited set of ranks rather than (allowing voters to use up to) as many as candidates (Approval can be viewed as two-rank system.)
