Sanders lost the nomination, and Clinton is absolutely a moderate.
- gaius 8y agoClinton is absolutely a moderate. That’s an odd thing to say, because Clinton never talked about policy. Sanders talked about free healthcare and education. Trump talked about building the wall. But all Clinton ever said was that it was her turn. Similarly their supporters all echoed those policies, except Clintons who were just “with her” in a policy vacuum. So you can’t assert that she was moderate because no one knew (or cared) what her policies actually were!
- matt4077 8y agoThat's a blatant lie. - We're going to make the biggest investment in new jobs since World War II. - a new modern electric grid to be able to take in clean, renewable energy - I have a plan to install a half a billion solar panels by the end of my first term - give a tax credit to any company that is willing to pay a young person while that young person is learning the job - extending broadband access to every place in America. - We've got to return technical education to our high schools, our community colleges. - a moratorium for three years on student debt - we should raise the national minimum wage and on and on and on... Note the annotation explaining that while this stump speech, the one she held about 400 times, mostly just includes the headlines, there was a long, printed/online program with further specifics. Also note that she does not say it was "her turn". But you already knew that, didn't you? Read it yourself: https://www.npr.org/2016/09/15/493924325/inside-hillary-clintons-stump-speech-annotated?t=1541501342701 https://www.npr.org/2016/09/15/493924325/inside-hillary-clin.... And stop lying. (Yes, I'm making an assumption of bad faith here. Because there's no plausible scenario where the comment I'm replying to would be made by anyone who made even the most cursory but honest attempt to get the facts.)
