Is there a roguelike engine?
- meritt 8y agoMost tend to use libcotd: https://bitbucket.org/libtcod/libtcod/src https://bitbucket.org/libtcod/libtcod/src
- Impossible 8y agoSquidlib is also popular and has a lot more functionality in terms of level generation. https://github.com/SquidPony/SquidLib https://github.com/SquidPony/SquidLib.
- earenndil 8y agoThere is t-engine[1]. Ultimately, though, there's not so much that an engine can offer to a roguelike. Many use libraries such as SDL, bearlibterminal[2], or tcod for graphics, but aside from that most things are hand-rolled. 1: https://te4.org/te4 https://te4.org/te4 2: http://foo.wyrd.name/en:bearlibterminal http://foo.wyrd.name/en:bearlibterminal
