Now that this is more commonly known, I wonder how long it will take for social media platforms to start filtering it out.
- wl 8y agoThat would be unfortunate for people working with or discussing Egyptian texts. It's not like this is an uncommon symbol in hieroglyphic texts.

- lostlogin 8y agoreificator’s comment (summarised as “but the children”) has been flagged, which is a fairly amusing commentary on this. It’s exactly how the thread suggested it will play out. Guns and bombs are fine (and autocorrect is suggesting I use them on iOS) but this isn’t.

- wl 8y agoI'm no Egyptologist, but I have discussed middle Egyptian hieroglyphic texts on Facebook. Admittedly, images, images of text produced by JSesh, and standard transliterations are more common than Unicode.
