That annotated source is a thing of beauty.
- petervandijck 16y agoHere's the source: http://documentcloud.github.com/backbone/examples/todos/todos.js http://documentcloud.github.com/backbone/examples/todos/todo... Edit, no, it's here: http://documentcloud.github.com/backbone/docs/todos.html http://documentcloud.github.com/backbone/docs/todos.html
- nixme 16y agojashkenas has single-handedly redefined literate programming for me. I've always considered it somewhat useful, but never very practical until seeing his annotated sources. More examples: Underscore: http://jashkenas.github.com/coffee-script/documentation/docs/underscore.html http://jashkenas.github.com/coffee-script/documentation/docs... Backbone: http://documentcloud.github.com/backbone/docs/backbone.html http://documentcloud.github.com/backbone/docs/backbone.html CoffeeScript: http://jashkenas.github.com/coffee-script/documentation/docs/grammar.html http://jashkenas.github.com/coffee-script/documentation/docs... I believe they're all generated with Docco: http://jashkenas.github.com/docco/ http://jashkenas.github.com/docco/
- catshirt 16y agosame! there is also a docco fork on node called dox. http://github.com/visionmedia/dox http://github.com/visionmedia/dox ever since seeing Dox I have made a much larger effort to essentially create a reference for everything I write (in a perfect world this would be a given).
- amadiver 16y agoIt's made with Docco http://jashkenas.github.com/docco/ http://jashkenas.github.com/docco/
- bravo_sierra 16y agoThere's also Pocco (Python), Rocco (Ruby), and shocco (*sh) http://tomayko.com/linkings/67644cabf40a7aa32c2a99fda9a42e20 http://tomayko.com/linkings/67644cabf40a7aa32c2a99fda9a42e20
- jsdalton 16y agoI'm hopeful that some ambition person out there will do a phpocco in the near future.
- trafficlight 16y agoI'm not sure about that. 'phpocco' just doesn't have the same ring. But I jest. It would be most welcome.
- itsnotvalid 16y agoThere should be instead a occo that could have plugins written for all sort of languages that feels like it. That makes it much more reusable.
- s3graham 16y agoThough the name is unfortunate, I have to vote for cocco.

- mnemonik 16y agoFYI, "Pocco" is now "Pycco". Armin Ronacher of Pocoo asked me to change the name because Pocco was a little too close to Pocoo and I gladly obliged seeing as Pycco (and Docco, too) use Pocoo's excellent Pygments syntax highlighting library and I have tons of respect for him and his work. Anyways, here is Pycco's new homepage: http://fitzgen.github.com/pycco/ http://fitzgen.github.com/pycco/
