Why bother with only 300 followers? It feels like twitter is only useful if you have several thousand followers, otherwise there's so much noise that you're just talking to empty room.
- webninja 8y agoEveryone with several thousand followers had 300 once.
- 3pt14159 8y agoYeah. Plus once you get over 700 followers things kinda tip and it's MUCH easier to get to 1000 followers than from 400 to 700. Each follower is a potential retweeter. It's the nature of the platform.
- donatj 8y agoThere’s a sense of community, particularly around my programming languages of choice. I don’t need 1 million people to read my tweets to feel community. Just knowing that one or two people read it and appreciated it is enough.
- dwighttk 8y agoI have about 200* followers and only about 5 or 6 that actually interact with me with responses or likes. I also block followers who don't seem like they are real people. *edit... Originally said 300.
