I have 6 kids, some got spanked others not at all. But when you have a 3 yr old who isn't listening and may put themselves in danger with their actions, sometimes a quick attention getting spank can save a life or at least a hospital visit. Trying to place a black/white filter on something like this is intellectually vacuous.
