What kind of world do we live in when a service which is so ubiquitous and depended upon in our community is at risk of struggling?
(Side note: I haven't been following this acquisition in detail; was GH struggling? Or was the acquisition just their exit?)
- lawnchair_larry 8y agoThe kind where VC subsidizes everything and people start to expect it for free, but when it comes time to pay, they have difficult decisions to make, and VCs require growth of their investments, so management also has difficult decisions to make. Github would be unknown today if it wasn’t free for personal use.
