Science should be publicly funded. Capitalist funding of academic research has perverse incentives.

- dagw 8y agoThat in itself wouldn't change the incentives too much. Government grant boards don't like that you 'waste' their money either and come up with 'nothing'.
- drb91 8y agoWe can elect our officials; we do not choose who to make rich, or what they do with their money, unfortunately.
