Why didn't the adventurer mention that they were blocked? I feel like this is on them, though it would have been preferable if the task-creator had known the key was required. But, if I say I'm going to do something, and then don't do it and don't give any details why, it's always my fault.
- taeric 8y agoTo be fair, modern video games pretty much train you to ignore people that are just asking for things. Dragon's Quest is rather amusing in this regard. It will even handily keep a log of active quests with graphical pointers to where quests can be found. That said, to my knowledge, there is no penalty for not doing quests. They just pile up, endlessly. I don't think this is any different than any other open world game I have ever seen. Sure, some will have time bound quests. Most aren't, though.
