  We've known for a while (at least decades) that publicizing suicides tends to lead to copycat suicides.

    So what? Suicide is a choice. A really bad one. The whole world shouldn't be expected to walk on eggshells to prevent some people from making a really stupid choice. And maybe, on the other hand, it will serve as a cautionary tale to people who might have embarked on a path that led this way. If it changes the saving habits of a handful of engineers early in their career, I'd say it was more than worth it even if it led to a copycat or two.
