The "simulator" does put you in an essentially unwinnable scenario. I too, would probably go broke if all my bills occurred in one 30 day period, while I was cut off from all my credit, given thousands in debt, and left with zero savings plus a kid. I think the creators reduce the impact of their own message by making it so far fetched. I can't relate to anyone who would put themselves in such a terrible financial position, so its just an unwinnable game.
