- jedwhite 8y agoWell picked! :) Another Terry Nation fan I'm guessing. There's a feature being worked on that is some way down the track, but will make sense of the name. If you'll forgive the teaser, but it's related to having conversational control.
- bradknowles 8y agoSo long as you don't create a time loop where we steal the ship from our future selves, I think you're probably okay. ;)
- dwd 8y agoAn anti-troll conversational AI with the sarcasm and ad hominem insults of Avon?
- jedwhite 8y ago"Of course I'm properly switched on. Having depressed the activator button what else would you expect?" I may need to tone down the dialogue a little from the inspiration's level of snark ;)
- dwd 8y agoYou might enjoy this obscure gem: https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=7UtkbHL2tZg https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=7UtkbHL2tZg
- sjclemmy 8y agoI was a child when it was first broadcast and I loved it. It was the inspiration for many a childhood game. We always used to argue about who was going to be who - everyone wanted to be Blake, no-one wanted to be Servalan. I think I recall trying to make Orac out of a shoe box and felt tip pens!
- jedwhite 8y agoI've been planning to make an Orac from a perspex case using a Raspberry Pi with some speakers and a camera (and a lot of pretend wiring). But haven't had chance to get further than some rough plans :)
- bradknowles 8y agoThat was my first thought. I'm glad I'm not the only one! ;)
- SomeHacker44 8y agoI was going to post the same thing! Glad we HN members have some cultural proclivities (and age?) in common.
- stuartcw 8y agoGenius name. I wish I had grabbed that domain.
