I don't know what you're trying to say. While it is true that our rivals don't have our best interests in mind and have always acted to subvert our goals, their efforts to do so became brazen and blatant only very recently. Furthermore, this was (and still is) exacerbated by the continued denial and looking-the-other-way of our leaders currently in power. So it is a substantially different playing field today than it used to be.
