Ya, why are you trying to drink so much water. There's no health benefit to it, and potential problems if you actually force yourself to drink in excess of your food intake (though that tends to be hard to do).
- rodh257 16y agoI'm not trying to do so, much like no one else here is trying to drink 5 coffees a day etc, I just do it out of habit/thirst.
- arn 16y agoI see. I guess your original post made it sound like it was purposeful. If you aren't doing it intentionally, then it could raise a question of an underlying medial disorder. 7L is a lot of fluid. Well above normal. If you aren't purposefully drinking that much fluid, you may be urinating in excess which results in your excess thirst. You could have a mild form of Diabetes Insipidus, for example: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Diabetes_insipidus http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Diabetes_insipidus A relatively rare disorder. Uncontrolled regular diabetes can also cause excess urination/thirst. Anyhow, it may be something to bring up with your primary care physician. (I'm a former nephrologist)
