They probably aren't a direct competitor to dishwashers though. You would still need to remove food rests and other gunk from the dishes.

- mrarjen 8y agoApparently the dishwashers aren't great for bowls and other dishes used primarily in China. Plus they love to wash dishes with boiling hot water.
