The introduction of iPad-tip-for-everything ridiculousness has made me reevaluate tipping in general. I've found myself tipping less even for the more normal things, all because the iPads forced me to start thinking about it.
I often tap "no tip" on Square terminals.
- foolfoolz 8y agoa great rule of thumb is if you paid cash where they don’t have these ipads to ask for a tip, is a tip ever expected?
- mmmBacon 8y agoSometimes I pay cash to avoid the awkwardness of the whole tipping thing with the iPad. This allows me to choose to tip what I want rather than default to 20%.
