Many provinces have a long history with government run liquor stores (see LCBO in Ontario, BC Liquor in BC, SAQ in Quebec). There are pro's and con's to those stores.
- qwerty456127 8y agoNice to know, thanks, I've never head about this phenomenon before, used to think government run stores only exist in officially communist countries like China.
- dragonwriter 8y agoState liquor stores have been a thing in parts of the US, too.
