Google is better, but I would argue that further giving Google influence in the global internet is a bad thing. We need to curb the influence of single actors. If Google goes into China they will become omnipotent. They will use this to greatly raise the bar of entry into the tech sector. It would become physically impossible for any other players to compete with Google's level of market share on the web. So while Google might benefit, humanity would suffer.
