Ah Bloodborne is amazing. Every interaction with non violent NPCs is seeping with tragedy even when you do the "right"thing. Send everyone to the chapel? You let a murder in also that will wipe them out. Ok so send him elsewhere; they all go insane and one of them gives birth to an old god. Your character is just a force of nature watching everything decay around them further. I like how From Software is able to present kingdoms / societies that have fallen from grace but each with their own spin making you wonder if they were ever great or just nostalgia.
