Ask HN: Why Paypal doesn't allow to turn on 2FA anymore?

A friend of mine just alerted me that the option to turn on 2FA on his Paypal account doesn't exist anymore. I checked and it's true, I still have 2FA but the option to enable/disable it is gone. Definitely interesting.
