"The swamis were right: You and the voice in your head — whatever you want to call it — are pretty much all you have in the end. You have to hang on to it, and listen out for it." This paragraph is near the end. It sounds to me like she got something out if it. I liked the article. Western cynicism or WASP stoicism doesn't completely go away in a week.
