Such gorvernment certfification organization (or something like that) will harm local firms and benefit chinese, because chinese companies will ignore all those regulations and flood market with cheap devices. Honestly, I cannot see any solution other than mass education system that teach people what security is and how to use it. Every consumer MUST clearly undestand what exactly he/she is going to lose when using insecure appliance.

- craftyguy 8y agoExactly. It's trivial today to purchase electronics without any required certifications (UL, FCC, etc) from aliexpress, etc. However, those certification programs are still alive and well, and knowledgable consumers can still seek them out.
