Never ascribe to malice that which is can be explained by stupidity.
Stupidity might be a bit harsh here though.
- mental1896 8y agoFWIW I've seen this kind of thing at the local grocery store too. The name brand price tag reads "39¢/oz" and the generic right next to it reads "$3.79 per each". I can't be certain that it's malicious but it happens often enough to make me wonder.
