Energy demand is not elastic so raising prices is not the right way to reduce demand. Raising prices for inelastic commodities does not change the behavior of the consumer.

- crististm 8y agoBecause it is a basic need of today's society. You can't suddenly decide you won't use energy without significant side-effects. It's worse if someone else decides that for you by raising prices.
- mixmastamyk 8y agoDunno, you can go without, shift timing, or buy more efficient devices.
