- svick 8y agohttps://www.openinventionnetwork.com/joining-oin/ https://www.openinventionnetwork.com/joining-oin/ This specifically talks about "the Linux System".
- tomnipotent 8y agoGot it, didn't realize OIN was so specific to Linux.
- aaaaaaaaaab 8y agoI’d just like to interject for a moment. What you’re refering to as Linux, is in fact, GNU/LInux, or as I’ve recently taken to calling it, GNU plus Linux.
- tomnipotent 8y agoNo where in the literature does it mention GNU outside of the GPL. https://www.openinventionnetwork.com/joining-oin/linux-system/ https://www.openinventionnetwork.com/joining-oin/linux-syste...
- cyphar 8y agoIt's a Stallman copypasta, but in this case I think it's justified. The definition of "Linux System" appears to refer to a Linux distribution which would include GNU and countless other projects than just the kernel. Seems like really strange wording since it'll likely just cause confusion and lawsuits down the track.
