- aston 18y agoLast time I threw up a patch, it wasn't really all that well-received. In part because I didn't submit it on the "feature requests" thread? Without a real regex library, adding things to the 'markdown' parser in news.yc is pretty rough stuff.
- nostrademons 18y agoI kinda wonder how slow a pure-Arc regexp library would run. Could be kinda fun to write... I suppose you could always hack the interpreter to patch through MzScheme's regexp library.
- akkartik 18y agoA regexp library would be nice. But what asrv needs is perhaps a proper markdown parser. That plays to markdown's strengths.
- nostrademons 18y agoRight, aston's point is that it'd be much easier to build a proper markdown parser with a decent regexp implementation. (AFAIK, most markdown parsers use regexps instead of having an actual grammar.)
