I was half hoping that Intel would differentiate themselves from AMD by increasing frequency instead of playing the number-of-cores game against AMD.. Or is further push in frequency meaningless?
- paulmd 8y agoStock clocks are up and the solder is reportedly allowing a slight increase in peak OC. Frequency is mostly determined by process node and can't be increased without a die shrink. In fact, early 10nm nodes will actually be slower than what Intel can do on their highly-refined 14nm node. Jokes aside, 14+++ is actually amazingly fast.
