I wouldn't give up manually driven cars for anything. You can rip the keys out of my cold dead hands.
- JoeAltmaier 8y agoIf most of the cars on the road are auto-drive, that might be exactly what happens. Imagine trying to negotiate crossing a busy highway when all the other cars know what they're each doing, and you're invisible to them. It'll be 'playing chicken' all day long.
- jaxtellerSoA 8y ago> you're invisible to them. If that's the case then self-driving cars will never take off. What are they only aware of other self-driving cars? How about children? Or a tree that fell in the road? They would have to be aware of any object.
