Unfortunately he didn't know that `git` does not scale well with the size of the repo and Google have built their custom repository system to tackle this.
- tom_ 8y agoGoogle used Perforce, which has a somewhat diferent model from git and scales a lot better. A monorepo is also the obvious way to use it, as you can’t (I don’t think?) branch between depots.
