I saw this exact scenario happen as well. A startup had some turnover and several negative glassdoor reviews (none of which were mine). At this point, HR started posting absurdly fake reviews and then a week or two later all but one of the negative reviews had been removed. The company even went so far as to announce in an all-hands how detrimental it was to post negative reviews on Glassdoor and solicited any and all positive feedback.
