DevOps is much about culture and it's not a one solution fits-it-all that you can grab from your past 7 years and readily apply to a company you just joined. I was responsible for a very big devops transformation in a medium company (3k employees, 80 devs), took around a year and a half to go from ssh to server to deploy to everyone being on Ansible and automated deploys with CI/dev/staging/prod.
I would say to chill :), you just joined the company, 3w is not a lot of time to understand the culture, the devs, what they should optimize for, what is causing them pain, what is taking them time, what is making them money and etc.
Also, have some real 1:1s with the CEO (or whoever you report to) and be very direct about how you are feeling and what the expectations are.
Case in point, I really recommend the two books in this link:
- https://landing.google.com/sre/book.html https://landing.google.com/sre/book.html
I don't believe any of that can be applied blindly to a company that isn't google size.
