I recently discovered VNote: https://github.com/tamlok/vnote https://github.com/tamlok/vnote Works great for me so far. Its QT based and uses plain Markdown files. Notes are organized in notebooks with (sub-)folders. Some of the features on top of this are tagging, full text search, reader-mode, vim key-bindings, attachments, MathJax, PlantUML, and Mermaid.js support.
