Seems like a great time for someone to make an extension to show the "true" brand of products on Amazon. Nestlé is a great example of a company that people have tried to boycott and failed because of the sheer amount of brands at its disposal (2000+ according to Wikipedia[0])

- tcbawo 8y agoI scanned through that list. Granted, I don't buy much coffee, candy, bottled water, cookies, yogurt, cosmetics, or processed foods in general. But I think I could avoid their brands quite easily. Maybe I'm and outlier.

- yial 8y agoI read through the list as well, and I don’t buy any of those brands normally pretty much. However, I would see more the issue being if I wanted to boycott nestle remembering all those brands are nestle when I’m at the supermarket shopping etc.
- ernesth 8y agoThis list is not accurate. In yogurt, most brands attributed to nestlé in fact belong to a joint venture between nestlé and lactalis. https://fr.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lactalis_Nestl%C3%A9_Produits_Frais https://fr.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lactalis_Nestl%C3%A9_Produits_... Among water, Carola no longer belongs to Nestlé, since 2013, it is a subsidiary of Spadel (independent belgian of Spa mineral water). Similarly, Quézac now belongs to Ogeu. This boycott may harm companies not related with Nestlé!
