Not really a surprise, why would Amazon constrain it's ambitions to being the store front, when it could control the whole product lifecyle from manufacturing to delivery. Perhaps not great news for people who sell on amazon though. It would be very easy for amazon to tilt the table on their site in favour of their own brands.
