- unique_id 8y agoThe difference is rather extreme: http://www.thedartmouth.com/article/2018/05/a-survey-of-dartmouths-political-and-free-speech-climate http://www.thedartmouth.com/article/2018/05/a-survey-of-dart... What is intolerance anyway? It's not believing that a certain behavior is wrong. That's not intolerance. Intolerance is shouting people down because you don't agree with them or creating a hostile environment for opposing viewpoints. That's a behavior that reminds me of one side much more than the other. I'm not putting blame here. One side just takes politics more seriously, for now.
- lovich 8y ago>"I'm not putting blame here" You just called out one side as worse and then try to claim you're not putting blame? That's not really believeable. If we're just throwing out reasons too, then how about how the Republican party decided to not compromise on anything anymore after Obama was elected? When one side refuses to compromise on anything, the other side can only lose by attempting to compromise. This situation is the only possible result from turning politics into a verbal form of total war
- unique_id 8y agoI've been flagged four times now for correcting the person I responded to on who is acting intolerant. That's an example of intolerance. Liberals are very intolerant, as the studies show. > You just called out one side as worse and then try to claim you're not putting blame? I said one side takes politics more seriously, that's what I said. But sure, if you believe in democracy then their behavior isn't exactly conducive to a well functioning democracy, now is it? > When one side refuses to compromise on anything That's hilarious. The republican party is the democratic party, just 10 years behind. It compromises on everything. The beautiful Republican party features the likes of marxists turned neocons because they took an interest in Israel (or so Wikipedia says).

You're evidence that liberals are less tolerant is also a study of a single college campus. Bring some more evidence if you are going to make claims that have gone against the past 10 years of public discourse
- unique_id 8y ago> It was a public and documented plan by the Republican party to not compromise on a single issue with the Obama administration. You lack all perspective. The republican party is the party of rich and influential people, ignoring Jews which act in their own ways (and make this relationship much less obvious): http://anepigone.blogspot.com/2018/10/the-differences-are-more-than-dollar.html http://anepigone.blogspot.com/2018/10/the-differences-are-mo.... The black plaque reduced the size of the low class, the industrial revolution blew it up. Today the size of the low class in the west is very large proportionally, though nothing compared to the low class in say Africa. With a burgeoning low class, high culture is decimated. Today the educated don't have children, the non-educated do. Smart. The naturalization law of 1790, approved in the second session of the first Congress, limited naturalization to immigrants who were free White persons of good character, with 'white' being more restrictive than it is today. It was a country created by and for a certain people. The men that created America have done nothing but continuously give up more and more of their hard earned power. You're freaking out over Republicans having an issue with a brown Hussein who campaigned on a lie of gender pay gap? Relax, it takes time to adjust to change. Remember, conservatives want to conserve. Have they done that? No. Maybe you should thank Republicans for being okay with such a dramatic change. Could you imagine the Chinese accepting their country turning half white? I sure couldn't. And what of the Europeans? They've let America turn itself into a melting pot without comment, threatening their relationship with the worlds biggest superpower. The shared kin factor between Europe and the USA is disappearing. That's a huge security risk that Europe has voluntarily taken on. You should thank them. Relax, change takes time. Republicans (and whites) are the most tolerant people on earth. It's only liberals that sway away from tolerance and into intolerance. The high class. What has come of it? "Majority of mathematicians hail from just 24 scientific ‘families’" says a nature.com article. Each son and daughter a masterpiece. Families of mathematicians, families of writers and artists, families of architects. Where are they now? They're gone, and they gave their power to you. Democracy. What more do you want? Should republicans commit suicide as well? Is that what it takes? Stop, you have it all now. Spare the Republicans.
