Don't use JSON, XML has been able to do that since 1996!
I actually agree with the premise – my startup is http://www.hyperfiddle.net/ http://www.hyperfiddle.net/ – but SQL is too complicated and abstraction-resistant in a dozen different ways to be a suitable foundation.
