I think at this point it's more believable the story is true, because Bloomberg is the most credible participant at this point... they're anonymous sources, but as long as Bloomberg did their due diligence as journalists, they've validated their (numerous) sources as credible. ...and like you said, all these corporations have MASSIVE amounts to lose.
