Maybe instead of bugs in the simulation we should be looking for design flaws like irrational numbers for constants or slews of arbitrary particles. Of course if the universe were well designed we could use that as proof it's a simulation too. But I'm not sure "fun to think about" corresponds with "interesting enough to take even remotely seriously"
