Because I don't like how X11.app behaves when tabbing in and out of it. And there are a few bugs in the version of X11 supplied by Apple.
I have Arch Linux installed on a VirtualBox instance, but then it's the hassle of moving files between computers.
I'll come up with something that works for me eventually, but right now Terminal.app is the best option.
