Not sure why so many people here are surprised that benefits of efficiency accrue to the owners of capital. That's the basic premise of capitalism in a way.
Profits float upwards, hard negotiation pushes downwards on actual workers and managements try as much as possible to reduce what's owed to actual "doers" of work.
