Also worth noting that for large companies that have dozens of data centers, even a 0.1% improvement can lead to millions of dollars saved.
- quotemstr 8y agoAgreed, but much of the time, these improvements can be had without complicating the code itself. That's one reason I much prefer C++ over C: it's much more amenable "cost free abstraction" techniques that provide both performance and clarity.
