This is one of the coolest web projects I've seen lately. Great job! > Increasingly, activities that could perfectly happen off-line – such as writing a document, filling in a spreadsheet, or storing data – are now requiring continuous network access. This does not combine well with renewable energy sources such as wind and solar power, which are not always available. I'm surprised no one has mentioned progressive web apps. This seems like a perfect use-case for them. On a related note, I just found this research showing that Service Workers (on which PWAs are built) "do not have a significant impact over the energy consumption of [mobile] devices, regardless of the network conditions."
