Why do you complain about IDEs when most popular languages are Java, C, C++, ecc.? (see http://www.tiobe.com/index.php/content/paperinfo/tpci/index.html http://www.tiobe.com/index.php/content/paperinfo/tpci/index....) IDEs can't be better than languages they deal with, because languages shape the way programmers think. Clunky languages call for clunky IDEs.
