- EGreg 8y agoI find the behavior of HN’s community as a whole, and its effect on submissions and comment scores interesting. I wish there was a way to discuss it, in like a meta-HN. A few days ago I posted an article about how the EU proposes a new law that could give up to 6 years in jail for social media posts. A discussion got started but for some readon the post was immediately “flagged” and that put an end to all discussions and upvotes on it. Yours, I notice, was “dead” so probably flagged as well? https://news.ycombinator.com/item?id=18051432 https://news.ycombinator.com/item?id=18051432
- tinus_hn 8y agoProbably because the site you linked sucks. Also the 'discussion' was pretty disappointing, some whining about the site and some inflammatory trolling. By one and the same person.
- jwildeboer 8y agoI guess it’s a matter of timing. And simple, clear messages as a source.
- tumetab1 8y agoThat link leads to me an empty page, is the URL correct?
- Boulth 8y agoThe submission is marked as [dead] you need to change your settings to see it (enable showdead).
