I don’t really follow your non sequitur. You act as if days of your time are somehow worth more than days of some browser engineer’s time. The company I works for makes a decently popular and extremely browser-intensive web application and even we at least do some minimal investigation when we want, say, a Chrome bug to get fixed. If opening dev tools caused Firefox to crash for me you can bet I’d at least try to come up with a minimal STR.
